Hi, I'm Ciaran

I have a passion for creative business thinking and helping people find fulfilment in what they do. When I was younger I always thought I was going to be an artist. I studied Fine Art Painting in Belfast for my undergraduate. I quickly learned that seeing things differently was more important than artistic skill. Doing things differently has been a guiding force in my life ever since and I’m glad to say I still practice making art through my design business, Modern Éire.

Having run Modern Éire since 2017, I’ve realised that all the businesss theory and techniques I learned during my Masters in Entrepreneurship in Limerick or in short business courses doesn’t guarantee business success. While it helps me understand and analyse a business, there is a human side to consider. I still have to work on my willingness to serve others, the passion and energy for what I do, and navigate the personal challenges of being in business. Everyday.

I believe we can make things easier, that our lifestyle should come first and our time spent working is joyful and aligned with our values and personal ideas of success. We can make ourselves work for our businesses, or make our businesses work for us. Otherwise we should just get a job where we are required to fit in.

Often we are so busy working in our businesses that we do not spend enough time working on our businesses to make sure we are heading in a direction that really suits us.

There are so many business tips out there it is difficult to wade through it all and find tailored support and advice that helps you stand out from the crowd.

That’s where I come in - I can support you in achieving the business lifestyle and success you deserve.

I spent my twenties living in Vietnam teaching English language to Adults and children. After studying and training some more, I became the youngest teacher trainer of Cambridge English teaching qualifications in the world by the age of 26. I trained hundreds of teachers from around the world in my time as a trainer; getting the chance to hone my skills of listening and observation, while also developing the experience of delivering crucial feedback to individuals and groups so that they could quickly change their practices and behaviours for the better.

A few years back, I also had the chance to add a Level 6 coaching qualification to my previous training experience and I’ve been able to continue helping people develop in their lives and businesses since. Helping others in this way is something I've discovered I’m really passionate about.

I’m interested in working with people and organisations who want to make the most of what they have, who aren't afraid to be unique, who want to be better at what they do and make a positive impact on the environment and those around them.

I love travelling, exploring different cultural norms, reading about personal development, discovering unique businesses, and learning how people do things differently. I have also come to love my lifestyle at home in Donegal surrounded by family, my oldest friends, and beautiful scenery.

I'm steadily building resources to help small business owner's change their thinking. I share quick guides on InstagramFacebook, and LinkedIn. I share more in depth resources through my mailing list. All for free. I'd love for you to connect and check them out.

Thanks,

Ciaran
